Manideep’s Story

To look at Manideep’s life growing up in India is to view circumstances of desperation far too common here, involving an angry alcoholic father, deathly sick family members, poverty to the point of starvation, and the utter hopelessness offered by Hinduism.  All too often the family would have no food for more than a day at a time, and young Manideep would do his best to be scarce and avoid his father’s wrath. Perhaps most despairing, his mother was becoming incapacitated with throat cancer.

Then one day a schoolmate approached him and offered prayer. He also told him, “If you come to Jesus, He will heal your mother.” Manideep took his mother to the friend’s church, and though she was not healed, her condition stabilized and subsequently improved. The next year, in 10th Standard, Manideep started attending fellowship, where he met and came to know Brother Babu, who mentored him in the Word.

One night Manideep saw a vision, in which God spoke to him, calling him to ministry at CWC. He didn’t hesitate, but immediately committed to serving full time with Babu, and he feels this step of faith has blessed him greatly and helped him to receive and grow with the Holy Spirit in a deep and meaningful way.

Despite his not pursuing a job for wages, the family has now been blessed with enough food for three meals a day. Manideep is very thankful that he can utilize his gifts of hospitality and servanthood in so many ways at CWC; cleaning and sweeping, cooking and serving, and singing with the band. He loves to care for others and keep them in personal prayer, and is now invited into homes to share his testimony.

Manideep considers it a great blessing to share the gospel during prayer walks and youth visiting. He also loves the keyboard and hopes to learn it. His life is full of encouragement, and he desires to continue growing more deeply in fellowship with God.

Pray for Manideep

Please pray for his mother, as her body is weak from cancer and nerve damage, and she needs surgery; for his father, still a practicing Hindu afflicted with anger and alcoholism- that his heart would change and he would seek salvation in Christ.
Pray for more financial blessing for the family.
Pray also for Manideep; that he will grow in the Word and fulfill his dream of becoming a pastor.
